Internet

Hua Hin internetNetizens can pick from either the 56k modem (dial-up) or the DSL internet (hi-speed) to make their platform in navigating the cyberspace.

Before we start off to share with you the list of internet service providers, this is one primary fact about the internet in Thailand that you should know about: no matter what your speed range of choice is, the actual speed you get is volatile. It is not unusual for your computer to upload or download data at the rate of 100-something kb despite the 1MB-per-second package.

The 56k modem internet hours come in a wide range of packages offered by a number of providers. The packages are sold in retail chain 7-Eleven, Family Mart and cyber cafes.

Some hi-speed internet packages also are on offer in the places aforementioned, but users of hi-speed internet mostly subscribe to monthly DSL services, which give unlimited hours of use for specified fees. Monthly hi-speed internet services in Hua Hin are offered by the CAT Telecom, the Thai Telephone and Telephone Communication (TT&T), the Telephone Organization of Thailand (TOT), CS Loxinfo and Ji-NET.

By far it has proved true that the quality logistically relies on the price you pay—to simply put it, the more expensive your package is, the faster you get connected to your sites.

See below for details on their packages.

CAT’s Hi-Net is regarded as the most cost-efficient provider in Hua Hin by far. To best suit your settings, CAT enquires from you such specific details as the type of your building, your objectives, etc. Seek their suggestions at the Hua Hin office by calling the Hi-Net Sale Department at 032-511-350-1. The prices range from 590 baht/month to 7,000 baht/ month, relatively higher than packages by other providers. CAT Telecom does not collect start-up fees from subscribers
